About Me
Hi my name is Chris and I have been working as a counsellor for over 20 years. As well as having a small private practice, I spent 12 years working in schools with parents who came with a variety of issues - domestic abuse, loss and bereavement, sexual abuse, lack of confidence and self-esteem, trauma and adverse childhood experiences.
Experience has confirmed for me that a relationship of trust, understanding and empathy needs to be developed before personal growth can start - I feel this is my area of strength.
I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where there is the freedom to say what is troubling you and to fully explore your feelings and thoughts, encouraging self-empathy and facilitating self-acceptance.
Coming to counselling requires courage - it is important to find a counsellor who you feel comfortable with. I wish you a positive therapeutic journey with whoever you chose to accompany you.
